Oh 2008, you come too soon.

Oh 2008, I confess that I refuse to talk to you.

However,
I speak to the upcoming struggles and breaking times ahead.
I speak to the tears to be shed, and to the many lessons to be experienced.
I speak to workload under which I will be pressured beyond my current understanding.
I speak to the situations in which my carnal nature will logically want to run away from.
I speak against rebellion, disobedience and impatience on my part.
I can speak only because Jesus can.

Hope you guys had a fantastic start to the year of 2008!

I just figured that 2008 is actually not going to be easy for most of us, especially the college freshies. The start of college calls for the revival of adaptation skills which most high school kids have chosen to do without ever since they’ve found their place in high school.

Or maybe some of us are leaving to a different country altogether..

It’s a very new year.

I truthfully do not have many resolutions for the upcoming year.

I however do have one thing I want to grow in, and that is: to be human and completely able to be transparent about my life. I want people to know that I have flaws and am ready to share about them – simply because it’s the existence of these flaws that give room for my Jesus to work through my life.

In short, my new year resolution is more of a life resolution than something I want to keep just for the year 2008 – I want to live a life that so deeply encompasses the character of Christ. He’s humble, completely sincere, compassionate, plus he loves people unconditionally – what’s not to like?

PS: I will miss you, my dear covenant friend! In fact I already do.
