(500) Days of Summer
Julia’s anticipation for this movie inspired my stark curiosity, and so yesterday night I took the opportunity to give it a squiz.
My verdict? Total uncertainty, leaning towards dissatisfaction. Given that it is a romantic comedy from a man’s perspective, I already expected some good dynamics and was not disappointed. Given that there was a break-up involved, I also expected a really bias representation of the girl-of-interest (in this case, Summer). Except Summer wasn’t just unbearable, she was REALLY unbearable. There is no justification whatsoever to her actions, she was just bored and so played along and led the poor guy on.
On the flipside, I had a really fun night out with really fun people!

Yes – I think that was the only thing that irritated me too. SUMMER!!!!! I don’t think I can ever look at that poor actress the same again. hahahaha

Haha seriously you guys, don’t hate Zooey just ‘cos you hated her character! Laur, I’m really surprised you don’t like Zooey ‘cos she’s so quirky and sometimes she reminds me of you ‘cos of that. hahaha. Not Summer ok. Zooey. :)

just watched Summer with Boyfriend. i loved it sooooo much can die! Summer wasn’t THAAAT unbearable la, you made her sound like a horrible meanie! i think both Tom and Summer were to blame, not just Summer. it was an excellent indie movie; all its hype and praise was well deserved. :) i’m with Nick on this one. Loved it! Will elaborate more when we chat later! hehehe. Finally, a proper discussion. ;) Love you, lovebug!
